This kid didn’t have a name until today AND I just changed it minutes ago because after saying it all day, I didn’t like her previous name as much.

I am this person

December 9th at 9pm I felt some liquid leave my body.

My water broke as the first sign of labor AGAIN!!!! But this time I didn’t have any contractions accompany it.

I almost cried, but then I laughed because, of course my water broke first again. Why not.

So now I am on a clock. I have to give birth in 24 hours, and I wasn’t having any contractions at all.

But, I’d chosen to birth with the amazing Jaime at Shreveport’s first and only freestanding birthcenter (holla, cause I cannot fathom the undertaking that was as a fellow business woman who is intimidated by every step of business ownership!)

Natalie's Cakes | Shreveport-Bossier Business Feature

So, we are pretty particular about the food we eat. I know many people are not, and I’m not judging anyone.

But I want everything as close to the earth as possible. Aka limiting artificial things in food and choosing organic.

When my sister started using Natalie for her birthday cakes, I wasn’t as aware as I am now of the problems with artificial things in food.

But, I knew she made AMAZING cakes that were always gorgeous and delicious. They were over the top with the design too!
